The Role…
The Restaurant Floor Manager at Soho House oversees the food and beverage operation, working with the General Manager and team. Your main responsibility is to manage the floor team to deliver efficient service, uphold Soho House standards, and create an approachable yet elevated atmosphere for members, guests, and staff. Ensuring a memorable experience through excellent service from greeting to bill payment is key.
Main Duties…
- Develop and implement systems to encourage efficient service standards that enhance member, guest, and staff experiences.
- Lead staff training on product awareness, food and drink initiatives, and storytelling, including programs like “Cook House & House Tonic” and “Club School.”
- Collaborate across departments to support member and guest experiences, ensuring clear communication of expectations.
- Participate in recruitment by identifying talent gaps, working with People & Development, and evaluating candidates.
- Support onboarding and training to ensure the F&B team is polished and approachable.
- Gather member feedback and develop initiatives to address concerns.
- Ensure employees are trained on company values, roles, responsibilities, and service standards.
- Assign tasks and monitor completion to meet quality standards.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Prepare and manage staff rotas, minimizing unnecessary overtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
What we are looking for...
- 1-2 years’ experience managing in a busy hospitality environment
- Innovative and influential with F&B management experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized and reliable
- Ability to work within a diverse team
- Knowledge of Opera, Micros, and Adaco is advantageous
- Understanding of local authority requirements
- Personal license holder
- SIA knowledge and experience
