Job summary

Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a renowned luxury coastal hotel and award-winning restaurant to recruit an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the front-of-house team on the Cornwall coast.

You will oversee daily operations, drive exceptional guest experiences, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of service, wine knowledge, and compliance in a luxury setting. A hands-on leader who leads from the front is ideal.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior front‑of‑house leader in a quality‑led restaurant or luxury hotel environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a frontline team.
• Excellent communication and guest relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure consistently high service standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the front‑of‑house team.
• Manage reservations, guest relations, and overall service flow.
• Work closely with the senior leadership and kitchen team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain excellent wine knowledge and guest engagement.
• Drive service standards in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure health and safety and licensing compliance is consistently maintained.
• Uphold exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.

The ideal candidate:

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or senior front‑of‑house leader within a quality‑led restaurant or luxury hotel environment. You will be passionate about hospitality, possess strong leadership skills, and have a natural ability to build relationships with both guests and your team.

A strong understanding of food and wine, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach are essential for success in this role.
