Are you an outgoing Manager with experience in restaurants, quick service, or coffee shops?

Tim Hortons is a part of the fabric of Canada with over 5,000 quick service restaurants worldwide, serving over 2 billion cups of freshly brewed coffee. We are expanding in the UK with plans to open hundreds of new locations over the next 10 years.

To be successful as a Restaurant Manager, you should be a great leader and positive team player with previous experience in the Restaurant & Customer Service sector within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:

Customer Service

  • Leading by example, prioritizing customers.
  • Maintaining a customer-focused approach in all operations.
  • Scheduling staff accurately to meet customer demand.
  • Supporting the team to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conducting regular store walks from the customer's perspective.

People

  • Encouraging staff to share suggestions and concerns.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training team members.
  • Providing performance feedback, setting goals, and offering support.
  • Managing absences and submitting payroll information.
  • Working with Shift Managers to identify high performers and potential talent.
  • Creating a positive, respectful work environment free from discrimination.
  • Handling performance management in collaboration with HR.

Driving Sales

  • Understanding sales trends, popular products, and peak times.
  • Ensuring products are well-merchandised and marketing campaigns are executed.
  • Training staff in upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Completing weekly cost control reports, including P&L analysis.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and motivating staff through incentives.

Operations

  • Analyzing KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
  • Maintaining composure under pressure and setting an example for the team.
  • Managing stock orders and quality control of incoming stock.
  • Scheduling maintenance for equipment and ensuring operational standards are met.
  • Overseeing cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer experience.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures and reporting incidents promptly.
  • Working flexible shifts as part of the management team.

Key Requisites

  • Previous experience managing restaurants.
  • A flexible and disciplined approach to work.
  • Experience in food environments is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Experience handling customer complaints.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
