Job summary

Byron Cambridge is hiring a General Manager to head the on-site restaurant in Cambridge. You will lead operations with confidence, recruit and train the team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences while upholding Byron's informal, high-standards approach.

You will forecast labour and sales, manage P&L, order stock, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulations. Building strong guest relations, you will drive profitability through excellent service and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Leadership of restaurant operations and guest experience.
• Recruitment, training, and day-to-day team leadership.
• Understanding of labour and sales forecasting.
• Knowledge of P&L and how to improve profitability.
• Management of stock, ordering, and wastage to prevent shortages.

Responsibilities

• Lead your restaurant with confidence to do things properly.
• Deliver Byron's behaviours on shift and manage the team.
• Forecast labour needs and schedule effectively to meet demand.
• Forecast sales up to three weeks out and monitor run rate.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety policies.
• Oversee local marketing, certificates, and maintenance, ensuring a safe, compliant operation.
• Foster a positive team culture and two-way communication.
