Job description

The Belfry Hotel & Resort, an award-winning destination with over 300 luxurious bedrooms, suites, restaurants, bars, event spaces, a leisure club, spa, and three renowned golf courses including The Brabazon, is embarking on an exciting expansion project, due for completion in Autumn 2025. With an investment exceeding £80 million, the resort will feature a new event space, The Masters Suite, 149 additional bedrooms, and a state-of-the-art leisure club.

The Ryder Grill & Kitchen is a 320-seat restaurant offering a range of menus from a 2 Rosette À la Carte to a Chef's Table and Sunday Carvery. It features a theatre kitchen where steaks are prepared in view of guests. Our menus are seasonal, and staff will learn menu development, costing, and delivery, with the capacity to serve up to 300 covers on busy evenings.

The role offers an on-target earning potential of £13.10 per hour, comprising a £12.21 base rate plus approximately £0.80 in gratuities per hour.

About the role

Your duties as a bartender include:

• Welcoming guests politely and warmly
• Preparing drinks to high standards
• Providing an excellent guest experience
• Discussing menus, upselling, and engaging enthusiastically
• Taking orders and ensuring guest needs are met
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Assisting across outlets to ensure smooth resort operations

About you

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy bar or restaurant, though training is provided for those new to the industry. We value passion for service, engaging conversation, sales ability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude. Previous experience is a plus but not essential.
