Pine Trees Hotel in Pitlochry, Scotland, invites applications for a Restaurant & Bars Supervisor to lead our F&B teams across restaurant and bar operations, including room service. You will supervise training, ensure service standards, and help create memorable guest experiences in a welcoming Highlands setting.

Qualifications

• Experience within food and beverage, preferably at shift leader level.
• Ability to plan and manage a busy service with attention to guest needs.
• Strong communication and confidentiality in a hospitality setting.
• Experience in training staff and running team meetings.
• Proven ability to compile rosters and manage rota compliance.
• Knowledge of bar and restaurant service standards.

Responsibilities

• Support all food and beverage staff to deliver high levels of customer care.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and safety in F&B areas.
• Monitor business levels and manage peak times pro-actively.
• Greet guests warmly and guide them to seats.

Your role:

Working under the supervision of the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will be responsible for maximising sales, profit and customer satisfaction in all food and beverage areas including restaurant, bar, and room service.

You will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the practical, on the job training within your department, including training of new starts and the training of any new process or procedure to incumbent staff.

You will bring a passion and attention to detail that will make you an exceptional Restaurant & Bars Supervisor that our guests will love to interact with. Your passion will ignite the experiences for our guests.

Joining the restaurant team, you will:

• To support all food and beverage staff to provide the highest level of customer care and consistent service delivery.
• To maintain all Food and Beverage areas to the best possible standards, regarding presentation, cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain an awareness of business levels throughout the hotel, highlighting potential busy periods and take action to ensure pro-active management at peak times.
• To ensure all guests are received in a friendly and welcoming manner to the Restaurant and courteously shown to their seats.
• To anticipate guest needs and pro-actively exceed guest expectations at all times.
• To be aware of all facilities, services and special promotions offered by Pine Trees Hotels and to effectively pass on this information to the guest in order to maximise hotel sales.
• Display knowledge of products and offerings including a competent knowledge of the bar and restaurant service.
• Train and develop staff in your team to the correct standards of service and competence.

About You:

We ask of you:

• Experience within food and beverage, preferably at shift leader level
• Can demonstrate an understanding of the elements that ensure the smooth running of a shift
• Evidence of having conducted job selection interviews
• Competent at writing professional letters and emails, compiling reports and data analysis
• Can demonstrate a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality
• Can effectively hold team meetings and 1-2-1 meetings and staff training sessions
• Can demonstrate an ability to compile rota’s

On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Restaurant and Bars Supervisor.
