Job Opportunity: Responsible Procurement Lead at University of the Arts London (UAL)

An incredible opportunity for someone experienced in developing and implementing sustainable procurement practices and social purpose initiatives to support UAL's ESG goals.

University of the Arts London (UAL), ranked 2nd in the world for Art and Design in the 2025 QS World University Rankings, welcomes over 18,000 students from more than 130 countries. Established in 2004, it comprises 6 esteemed Arts, Design, Fashion, and Media Colleges founded in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Located within the historic Central Saint Martin's college, near Kings Cross Station, UAL offers a vibrant, modern work environment with an expectation of 50% office presence, primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Responsible Procurement Lead reports to the Head of Procurement and collaborates within a cross-institutional team led by the Social Purpose Group, supporting UAL's Net Zero ambitions. The role involves managing procurement sustainability initiatives and working with diverse stakeholders to promote engagement and best practices in sustainability.

About You

• Proven influencer with strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with high accuracy.
• Technologically proficient, familiar with ERP software focusing on sustainability metrics and reporting.
• Experience in engagement activities such as workshops, conferences, and festivals to promote net zero and social purpose initiatives.
• Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
