Job description

To provide specified respiratory investigations to clients/patients and administrative/QC support to the respiratory department in line with company quality procedures.

This clinic is a community based hub so the individual will be working independently and remotely to our main site. Full remote support will be available.

16hrs per week Monday - Friday Fixed term 12 month contract in the first instance.

Main duties of the job

Therole requires good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the postholder being computer literate and having knowledge of Microsoft word andExcel. There is a need for a high standard of literacy and numeracy within thework and the post holder will hold and maintain the ARTP Full Certificate in Spirometry.

Dueto the nature of the work, and in the interests of patient care, there is aneed for absolute accuracy and patient confidentiality at all times as well asadherence to the Companys rigorous quality procedures, Standard OperatingProcedures (SOP). In turn this requiresthe post holder to be committed, conscientious and motivated and able to workeffectively as a member of a team in a pressured environment.

EnhancedAdult & Child Barred DBS will be undertaken prior to employment start.

Job responsibilities
  • Workingto the Companys Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
  • Patientmanagement and preparation for procedures
  • Recordingof electrocardiograms and entry of data
  • Ensuringa high standard of patient/client care including the cleanliness and stockingof clinical areas
  • Administrative& QC procedures
  • Maintainand update professional knowledge including new procedures and techniques
  • PerformLung Functions, nebulisation and reversibility testing.

Enhanced DBS will be required for the successful candidate

Allclinical employees are required to register with the appropriate professionalbody for their profession and are required to comply with this professional bodyscode of conduct and guidelines at all times.

Experience
  • Previous experience within a similar level role.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable patients
  • Ability to self manage a clinic
Qualifications
  • ARTP Full Certificate in Spirometry
  • SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography or willingness to work towards this.
