East Cheshire NHS Trust is expanding its Respiratory and Sleep service and seeks a Band 7 Respiratory and Sleep Clinical Physiologist to join our forward-thinking team. The role covers a broad range of respiratory and sleep diagnostics, with opportunities to develop advanced testing and contribute to service expansion.

Qualifications

• BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
• ARTP Practitioner level certification.
• RCCP/HCPC registration.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• ILS trained.

Responsibilities

• Undertake full spectrum respiratory diagnostic tests independently (lung function, muscle strength testing, 6-minute walk tests, spirometry with reversibility, bronchodilator response).
• Perform sleep diagnostic testing including data download and basic quality review of data.
• Analyse and interpret complex respiratory data and produce accurate reports.
• Develop and sustain professional relationships within the NHS Cardio-Respiratory framework.
• Contribute to education, training and mentoring of trainees and staff.
• Support service development, leadership, audits and research initiatives.
