Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Physiotherapist to join Jacobs Neurological Centre, delivering expert respiratory care for adults with complex needs in a specialist nursing home environment.

You will lead advanced tracheostomy and ventilation management, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive governance to ensure safe, person-centred care while educating residents and families about respiratory conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC.
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilation support.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physiotherapist.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and manage airway patency.
• Provide advanced tracheostomy care including weaning readiness and decannulation planning.
• Optimise ventilator settings and support weaning in collaboration with respiratory services.
• Deliver chest physiotherapy techniques and manual respiratory support.
• Develop personalised respiratory care plans and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
