An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance patient care for respiratory conditions. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, providing education, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment for patients with Asthma, COPD, and Bronchiectasis. The team is based at Aintree hospital though do provide inpatient cover for home oxygen assessments at Southport DGH too.
Inpatient assessments and outpatient clinics for patients with Asthma, COPD, Bronchiectasis – including optimisation of treatment, and promoting self-management.
Home oxygen assessments for both inpatients and patients in the community too – including domiciliary visits.
The role provides 7-day cover, with weekend working on (roughly) a 1:8 basis.
We work closely with the medical teams and therapy teams in the hospitals and have close links with other community respiratory services too.
We support team members to learn and develop knowledge and skills – with regular teaching and opportunity to apply for university modules and stand-alone study days as our rota allows.
We are looking for an additional CNS with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and a keenness to provide gold standard care to join our team. A high level of clinical decision-making is required, therefore sound theoretical and practical knowledge relating to this specialty is required. The candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience as a Band 6.
Applicants must also have a valid UK driving license and access to a car.
