Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Respiratory Nurse Specialist on the Basildon site. Join our progressive Respiratory Nurse Specialist Team to support both ward and outpatient care, triaging and advising on home oxygen and respiratory treatments.

You will work with our consultant and multidisciplinary team to develop the service, deputise for Band 7 specialists when needed, and help deliver an excellent patient experience across the pathway.

Competenze

• NMC registered nurse or HCPC registration.
• Specialist course associated with respiratory practice or working towards it.
• Significant post-registration experience in respiratory care.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication skills across disciplines.
• Ability to communicate confidently with all grades/disciplines.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive assessment of patients with asthma, COPD and other respiratory conditions.
• Support ward and outpatient reviews, including nurse-led and consultant clinics.
• Advise on respiratory medications and home oxygen eligibility, with IHORM prior to installation.
• Organise MDT meetings and complete risk assessments before oxygen installations.
• Manage clinic lists and deputise for Band 7 respiratory nurse specialists when needed.
