Job summary

NHSGGC is recruiting for a Respiratory Physiology Laboratory post based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital. This 12-month fixed-term, full-time role requires performing basic diagnostic lung function tests and associated administrative duties across GG&C on a rotational basis.

You will work under supervision of senior physiologists, participate in training and research projects, and contribute to service development and clinical meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Minimum five standard grades, preferably Science/Maths.
• Completion of in-house training program and attainment of Spirometry certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic lung function testing (Spirometry, FeNO).
• Perform reversibility testing where required (nebulisers/MDI).
• Record and report basic lung function results.
• Collate data for ongoing research projects under supervision.
• Attend in-house training programmes and contribute to service development.
• Promote the service at clinical meetings and education days.
