Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is recruiting a Respiratory Consultant for the West Midlands. The role offers full-time work with 10 PAs and exposure to advanced diagnostics such as EBUS and thoracoscopy, with opportunities for subspecialty interests in sleep medicine, ventilation, or lung cancer.

The successful candidate will hold GMC registration with CCT in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine (or be within 6 months of interview) and FRCP or equivalent Fellowship is desirable.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration to practise is required.
• CCT in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of interview) is preferred.
• Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory and general internal medicine care.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and appraisal of junior staff.
• Support clinical governance, audit, and service development.
• Engage in annual appraisal, job planning, and revalidation.
• Support development of respiratory services across the Trust.
