MiC UK is seeking a Resourcing Coordinator on a 12-month maternity cover to support Resourcing and Community Fundraising across the UK. The role coordinates church resources, volunteers, and communications to maximise donor engagement and support for MAF UK.

Based in Glasgow (or Folkestone) with hybrid working, the post requires strong administrative skills, teamwork and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Overview

This role will coordinate and support the Resourcing and Community Fundraising work streams of MiC UK. Under the direction of the MiC Resourcing Lead, responsibility will include ensuring that all MiC stakeholders across the UK are well-resourced in order to carry out their responsibilities for MAF and you will also support the development of MiC UK's Community Fundraising programme

Salary: £28,701

Location: This role can be based in either our Folkestone or Glasgow office, operating on a hybrid working arrangement.

Working Hours: Office open officially from 9am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri) and 9am-4pm on Fridays.

Responsibilities

Resourcing & Community Fundraising Key Goal: Support the day to day work of the Resourcing & Community Fundraising work streams of MiC UK, ensuring that all MiC UK stakeholders are well-resourced in order to carry out their responsibilities for MAF UK, with the aim of maximising their opportunities to attract new donors and supporters. The work across these streams will be directed by the MiC Resourcing Lead.

Stakeholder Resourcing:

  • Support the establishment of a Church Resources Department within MiC UK that will create and keep up to date engaging and relevant resources for churches that promote the work of MAF and that will help generate donors, supporters and people praying for MAF.
  • Update and develop volunteer resources, advertising, and promotional content/dates/information for the events section of the website and the volunteer’s intranet, along with e-news and social media, ensuring these have brand and message consistency.
  • Gather content for the quarterly MiC Church newsletters and prepare and update the email template, ensuring that these contain all relevant information to be communicated to churches that MAF have a relationship with.
  • Working with the MiC Resourcing Lead, engage with and support the team of Church Representatives across the UK, ensuring that they are equipped with an up to date and engaging suite of resources that they can utilise in their church, to promote the work of MAF.
  • In consultation with the MiC (Scotland) Team Leader, oversee the development of existing MiC resources, and production of new engagement resources to equip staff and volunteers when engaging churches and other audiences about the work of MAF, maximising the opportunities to attract new donors and supporters to the organisation.
  • Help to ensure that all MiC stakeholders (staff, Speakers, Church Representatives) across the UK are well-equipped to fulfil their responsibilities for MAF UK.

Community Fundraising Development:

  • Work closely with the MiC Resouring Lead to develop and implement community fundraising plans and campaigns. Develop and organise the production of community fundraising resources.
  • Support groups and individuals by providing advice and resources for community fundraising and events to help maximise income and new supporters.
  • Work with the MiC Resourcing Lead to ensure the delivery of a Community Fundraising Supporter Engagement programme that enables individuals to journey through their Community Fundraising effort with MAF, creating an exciting communications journey, provide resources to promote their fundraising efforts.

Event Organisation:

  • Working closely with MiC UK staff and volunteers, assist with the planning and delivery of MiC UK events, helping with logistical planning and support, ensuring the most effective use of resources.
  • Support the organisation of MiC’s attendance at various Christian and aviation events, including booking accommodation, passes and exhibition space.
  • Administration
  • Key Goal: Assist the MiC Resourcing Lead with the effective administration of the work of the MiC UK team, working with staff and volunteers across all MiC UK works streams to provide administrative support where required.
    • Represent MiC in communications/team meetings in the office, enabling more working collaboration between MIC and other MAF UK teams.
    • Liaise with the wider MiC staff team to answer queries relating to the administration of meeting/speaking engagement related paperwork originating from MiC staff and volunteers in Scotland.
    • Along with the MiC Resourcing Lead be responsible for the day-to-day management of the MiC UK email account, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided at all times to those engaging with MiC across the UK.
    • Along with the MiC Resourcing Lead, oversee MiC UK’s social media presence, within the MAF UK platforms, and help develop MiC’s engagement with churches via social media platforms. This will include developing and keeping up to date the MiC Resources section of the MAF UK website.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Along with the rest of the MiC UK team, take part in the delivery team for MiC UK events and wider MAF UK events as required.
    • Be prepared for undertaking evening and weekend work as required.
    • Be adaptable and open to performing other duties as agreed with the Line Manager to further the mission of MAF UK and grow the supporter and donor base.

Tasks common to all staff:

  • Role modelling of organisational values and beliefs - to contribute to the shared spiritual life of the MAF UK team as a unique Christian charity. This will include attendance and participation in corporate times of biblical reflection and corporate prayer meetings.
  • To participate in appropriate matrix programme and project teams, contributing skills and expertise to required timescales from the appropriate programme leader.
  • To keep line manager informed of all relevant and timely information.
  • At all times comply with statutory requirements for handling personal and sensitive data in a confidential manner.
  • To abide by Safeguarding and Conduct Policies, and all other MAF UK policies provided on the Intranet. This job description reflects the current requirements of the role. Terms: 12 months fixed-term maternity cover. At least 36 hours with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid per week. Hours should be agreed with line manager. This role will require travel and work activities outside of normal office hours and on weekends and additional flexibility will be required to accommodate these opportunities. Annual leave entitlement of 22 days (158.4 hours) per year and 8 days (58.5 hours) paid public holidays per year. Non-contributory pension scheme (10%) salary on joining. Employees may also make personal contributions if they wish to. Probationary and notice period 4-month probation period with monthly reviews 1-month notice period
