Job Description:

The Job:

As Head of Pastry, you will be responsible for managing, developing, leading, and training your pastry team, which currently includes highly motivated individuals. You will report to the Resort Executive Chef, who leads the senior culinary team.

The Resort Executive Chef seeks a Head of Pastry to oversee the existing range of bread, desserts, and savouries produced within the company across multiple outlets. You should be able to lead from the front and adapt your team from traditional hotel afternoon teas to managing large-scale events, VIP dining, and high-profile occasions as needed.

The Person:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Pastry or a rising star at the Senior Pastry Sous Chef level, demonstrating the skills and drive for this senior role. Candidates must have experience in a 5-star resort environment, preferably with exposure to Michelin or high Rosette level cuisine in a busy operational setting. You should exhibit creativity and passion in bread, desserts, and chocolates, and possess strong communication, organizational skills, and hands-on leadership to develop your team. As a senior appointment, you will also manage staff wellbeing, costs, and adhere to health and safety policies.
