Job summary

Trump Turnberry is seeking an Event Specialist to join our legendary team. You will plan and coordinate all resort events and off-site functions, including conferences, weddings, golf days, incentives and social events, aiming to maximise revenues and upsell resort products and services.

This role requires strong organisational skills, proactive teamwork, and excellent English. You will manage bookings, payments and client communications, ensuring precise documentation and timely delivery of

• Must be eligible to work within the UK.

• A qualification in Events Management / Hospitality is preferred.
• Must be proactive and able to work within a team as well as individually.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
• Previous experience within a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate group and wedding business, managing own events and supporting others; liaise with sales and group sales for smooth transitions.
• Ensure accurate booking details, forecasting, rooming, rate codes, and invoicing processes.
• Build strong professional relationships with customers, clients, vendors and resort staff to maintain five-star service.
• Produce event summaries and banqueting orders with high accuracy and timely internal distribution.

Job description

Trump Turnberry is ready to receive applications from exceptional, talented Event Specialist to join our legendary team.

Position Purpose

To effectively and intricately plan all Resort events and off-site functions which includes but is not limited to corporate conferences, weddings, corporate golf days, incentives and social events. To exude professional, efficient, friendly, detailed, and timely service to all internal and external clients and guests. Maximise revenues by ensuring effective booking, forecasting, planning, billing, and up-selling of resort products and services.

Essential Functions

• Effectively co‑ordinate all group and wedding business, working on own dedicated events and supporting other team members with their assigned events - liaise with the sales and group sales departments ensuring efficient transition for each contracted event, manage clients through the planning stages, take responsibility of all payment deadlines, present detailed documentation to support the operational departments with execution, ensure final invoice payment is collected and future event secured prior to departure.

• To ensure high levels of system accuracy including but not limited to booking details, group accommodation, banqueting and golf/spa/leisure forecasting, bedroom room type balancing, rate code building and modifying, business block notes and activities, event resource and item management.

• Build strong professional business relationships with all customers, clients, vendors and Resort associates ensuring 5 star service is delivered at all times, and an approachable demeanour is always portrayed.

• To ensure that all Event summaries and banqueting event orders produced are done so with a high level of accuracy, signed off by the client, and distributed internally in accordance with company timelines.
