Job summary

Teacher of Resistant Materials – Sheffield

Location: Sheffield
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

PK Education are working with a Sheffield secondary school who are looking to appoint a Resistant Materials Teacher on a permanent basis from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established Design Technology department with strong leadership, excellent workshop facilities, and a genuine commitment to practical learning.

The school places significant value on vocational and practical subjects, with Resistant Materials remaining a popular option at KS4. The department benefits from dedicated technician support, allowing teachers to focus on delivering engaging and hands‑on lessons.

You will be teaching Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop practical workshop skills, problem‑solving abilities, and confidence in designing and manufacturing products.

The school are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm to the subject, maintain high standards of health and safety, and inspire students through practical learning.

The Role
