Job summary

Aspris’s children’s home near Mildenhall and Lakenheath is seeking a Residential Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing care to young people aged 8–18 with complex needs. The role focuses on therapeutic intervention, independence, and building trusting relationships with residents and colleagues on a daily basis.

A full UK driving licence is required. You’ll have access to continuous CPD, NVQ/SVQ progression within 6 months, and a clear pathway to degree-level study as part of our commitment

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• High attention to detail is essential to the role.
• Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6 months of starting a Residential Support role.
• The opportunity to be qualified to degree level and a clear progression path.

Responsibilities

• Take young people to see friends, attend cinema trips, and participate in community events.
• Teach young people to cook and encourage independence.
• Build strong relationships with young people and staff.
• Support accurate reporting including incident records and disclosures.
