Job summary

Olive Recruit is seeking a compassionate Children Support Worker in Bristol to provide day-to-day care and emotional support to children and young people. The role operates on a 24-hour rota, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to promote positive routines and educational engagement.

The ideal candidate will have experience in children's residential care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire. Benefits include a workplace pension, employee assistance programme, gym discounts, and additional wellness days.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months’ experience in a caring or support role.
• Experience supporting children and young people with complex or challenging behaviours.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, child-centred care and emotional support.
• Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive daily routines.
• Act as a key worker and contribute to care plans and reviews.
• Support educational development and engagement.

Skills

Experience working within children's residential homes

Strong communication and listening skills

Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire children

Ability to remain calm under pressure

Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
