Job summary

Bridge2Future Care Group is recruiting a Residential Care Practitioner for a new specialist Children's Home in Swadlincote. The role involves shifts from 9:30am to 11pm with occasional sleep-ins, and a £70 sleep-in supplement for the hours 11pm–7am.

You will support Young People with social and emotional needs, hold a Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Child Care (or be working towards it), and have a Full UK Driving Licence. 21+ and UK work authorisation are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this.
• Some experience working with Children and Young People with social or emotional difficulties or challenging behaviour.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Young People receive the highest standard of support and care.
• Provide advice and safeguarding to Young People at all times.
• Safely manage risks in line with company policies.
• Attend to physical and emotional needs and act as a positive role model.
• Collaborate with Young People to address difficulties and realise potential.
• Complete written reports and documentation.
• Support and review Care plans, Risk Assessments, and Health Care documentation.
