Job summary

The Daltons, part of Young Foundations, offer warm, home-like accommodation in Seaham for young people aged 16 to 25 with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. We are seeking a Residential Support Worker to respond to individual care plans, work with families and professionals, and ensure safeguarding and welfare are at the center of all activities.

Qualifications

• Understanding the developmental needs of young people (physical, emotional, intellectual, social and educational).
• Knowledge of child protection issues and procedures and safeguarding young people.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and meet the identified needs of children/young people as outlined in individual care plans.
• Work in partnership with young people, their families, social workers and other agencies to meet needs.
• Ensure work with young people complies with legislation, procedures and good practice, and that safety and welfare are paramount.
• Participate in implementing and reviewing care/health/education plans and contribute to meetings and reviews.
