Job Title: Night Residential Support Worker
Location: Dereham, Norfolk
Hours: Night shifts on a rotating basis (19:00 07:00 / 20:00 08:00 / 22:00 07:00) FT & PT hours offered
Salary: £12.92 - £14.21 per hour
Are you a calm, caring individual looking to make a meaningful difference during night-time hours? Join our dedicated team as a Night Residential Support Worker, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of residents with learning disabilities through the night.
Working through the night, you will be a reassuring presence for residents, supporting them with their individual needs while ensuring the environment remains safe, secure, and settled. Whether you're carrying out routine checks, providing personal care, or documenting any changes, your role is essential to delivering consistent, high-quality care.
Ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and supported during night hours
Respond to individual needs, including personal care and administering medication if required
Carry out routine health, safety, and welfare checks
Maintain a quiet, calm, and reassuring presence throughout the shift
Monitor and report any changes in residents health, mood, or behaviour
Record all activities and observations to an appropriate standard
Assist with preparing the home for the following day
Work collaboratively with the day team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times
A reliable, empathetic, and observant individual
Calm under pressure and able to respond appropriately during night-time situations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safeguarding
Flexibility to work a rotating night shift pattern
A Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards it) is desirable
Additional pay for Shift Leaders (with Level 3 NVQ)
