Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Residential Support Worker in Penicuik, Midlothian. The role offers permanent contracts with full-time, part-time or casual hours across early, late, and double shifts to support a 24-hour service for young people with complex needs.

Salary is £27,000–£28,099 per year (pro rata). Applicants will join a team focused on person-centred, compassionate care, with opportunities for training and wellbeing benefits. Closing date: midnight Wednesday 4th November.

• Promote communication using agreed tools and visual systems.
• Collaborate with families and professionals to create tailored support plans.
• Support young people to develop independence and life skills.
