Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our agency team, supporting a variety of services across the region. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required, with experience in care/support within the last five years preferred. DBS and references checks are to be completed.

Flexible, supportive roles with community engagement across settings. Role involves helping individuals live independently, supporting daily living tasks, and developing life skills

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Have access to your own vehicle.
• Have at least 6 months' UK-based care/support experience within the last 12 months, OR 12 months' experience within the last 5 years.
• Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Be willing to undergo DBS and reference checks.
• Be willing to undertake personal care where required.
• Be approachable, friendly, proactive, and engaging.
• Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning and physical disabilities in daily living tasks.
• Help service users develop life skills and maintain their homes.
• Engage clients in community activities and social outings.
• Assist with shopping, meal preparation, and attending medical appointments.
• Build confidence and independence and foster positive relationships with family and support networks.
• Adapt to different placements and training requirements.
