Job summary

Norwood is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in a residential setting, assisting adults with complex needs. You’ll deliver person-centred care and build trusting relationships with the people you support.

This role focuses on meaningful daily living, dignity, choice and independence, with a supportive team helping residents lead fulfilling lives through day-to-day activities and mobility support.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal routines including personal care and meal preparation
• Encourage independence through life skills like budgeting, shopping and social outings
• Help people enjoy hobbies and interests: swimming, music, arts and outdoor activities
• Accompany residents to health appointments and trips out
• Work closely with our Physical Activity Practitioner, including in the hydrotherapy pool
• Contribute to household tasks and maintain a welcoming home environment
• Use a range of communication methods (Makaton, objects of reference, expressions)
• Drive the home vehicle for activities and appointments (only, if you’re a driver)
