Job summary

Break Charity is seeking a caring Residential Support Worker to join our disability services in Long Stratton. This part-time role supports young people with disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence and express their individuality through planned activities and therapeutic guidance.

Income includes base salary with sleep-in payments where applicable; you will work a 4-week rolling rota, including weekends, with a focus on ensuring safety and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must complete Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 24 months (fully funded by Break).
• Full, valid manual driving licence is required.
• Experience supporting young people with disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organise and participate in outings and activities to support skill development.
• Provide care, encouragement and guidance to help young people build confidence and independence.
• Support with communication development and helping young people express their individuality.
