Apple Orchard runs five residential children’s homes in Surrey and West Sussex, seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children feel safe, supported and hopeful about their future. The role involves supporting routines, education, activities and emotional wellbeing in a home environment.

We offer sleep-in allowances, every other weekend off, funded qualifications, promotion routes and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for children in challenging settings is beneficial.
• Willingness to complete Level 3 qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and education activities.
• Build stable relationships and be a positive role model.
• Keep accurate records of progress and important information.
• Collaborate with families, local authorities and professionals.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and provide calm therapeutic care.
