Job summary

Branas Isaf, part of the CareTech Group, is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to assist children and young people in a therapeutic residential setting in Bala, North Wales. The role involves emotional and practical support, teamwork with education and clinical staff, and helping young people gain life skills while ensuring a safe home.

Sleep-ins and a fixed 3-month rota are provided. No prior care experience is mandatory; transferable skills are valued and full training is provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Experience in care is welcome but not essential.
• Background in education, youth work, childcare or similar is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people with complex needs.
• Work as part of a therapeutic care team alongside education and clinical professionals
• Support young people to build independence, confidence and life skills
• Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment
• Take part in meaningful activities that promote positive outcomes and development
• This is a full-time role with sleep-ins included and a 3-month rota issued in advance
