Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker in Carmarthenshire to support children and young people with ALN, SEMH and communication needs within a safe residential setting.

You will work day and night shifts, promote positive behaviour, and provide consistent care while supporting day-to-day needs and maintaining a calm, supportive environment for each child. The role requires Social Care Wales registration or willingness to apply, plus DBS on Update Service.

Qualifications

• Registration with Social Care Wales or willing to apply.
• Existing Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Experience supporting children with ALN, SEMH, communication difficulties or challenging behaviour.
• Experience in residential or care settings.
• Patient, resilient and person-centred approach.
• Flexible to work day and/or night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Will support children with day-to-day needs, promote positive behaviour, and maintain a safe residential environment.
• Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver consistent care and support for each child.

Are you an experienced Children's Residential Support Worker with a passion for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs?

Do you have experience supporting children with communication difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour?

Are you resilient, patient and able to provide consistent support within a residential setting?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with children's residential homes in Carmarthenshire supporting children and young people with ALN, communication difficulties, SEMH and challenging behaviour. The settings are focused on providing a safe and supportive environment where the individual needs of each child are recognised and respected.

We are looking for a Children's Residential Support Worker for long-term and short-term roles, with both day and night shifts available. The successful Children's Residential Support Worker will support children with their day-to-day needs, promote positive behaviour and provide consistent care while helping to maintain a safe residential environment.

The successful Children's Residential Support Worker will have:

• Social Care Wales registration or a willingness to apply
• A Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to apply for one
• Experience supporting children and young people with ALN, SEMH, communication difficulties and/or challenging behaviour
• Experience working within a residential or care setting
• A patient, resilient and person-centred approach
• Flexibility to work day and/or night shifts
