Pharmacyupdate is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to provide day-to-day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring safety, well-being, and personal development. You will work with a team to implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child’s needs.

Role requires a driving licence, flexibility for evenings and sleep-ins, and a commitment to supporting education and activities for young people.

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A compassionate and caring nature.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota.
• Driving licence is essential for the role.

Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: 13.50 - 13.75 per hour, 50 sleep in rate Plus Overtime (+ 2 per hour)

Shift Pattern: 2 days on 4 days off plus sleep ins

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day care and support for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
• Encourage and support children and young people in their education, social, and leisure activities.
• Work as part of a team to develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child's needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Support children and young people with their daily routines
• Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable but not essential
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A compassionate and caring nature.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
• A driving license is essential for the role
