Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a part-time Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our Rawtenstall home. The role focuses on providing high-quality care to young people, helping them feel safe, valued and supported.

You’ll work shifts including overnight sleep-ins and must hold a UK manual driving licence. Training will be provided, with opportunities to progress within the organisation.

Salary £17,899–£18,281 per year, with sleep-in payments and a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred or you have cared for a younger friend or family member.
• Ability to work towards a Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care.
• Manual UK driving licence is essential to use company cars.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Willingness to work day shifts with overnight sleep-ins.

Children’s Residential Support Worker Part Time

Location: Rawtenstall

£17,899 to £18,281 per annum. This includes payments for expected 4 sleeps per month.

A full UK Manual driving licence is required and we are unable to offer sponsorship.

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

A Little About This Home

Fairfield is a traditional farm house surrounded by open fields with great views over the Rossendale valley. The home supports up to 5 individuals from the ages 10-16, making it a very fun and active home.

Everyone here absolutely loves the young people that live with us and go above and beyond to give them the very best. We try our best to make it a place they feel safe and loved in, and give them all the opportunities any other child would have. Some of our young people are very sporty and love playing football, basketball, gymnastics and going to the gym. We also have young people that love gaming, like most teenagers, and also a young person who loves drama and performing arts.

We treat each other as a family away from our own so that for all of our staff, this is not just a job. We all have a passion for the young people living here and protect them as if they were our own. A job is not just a job when other people depend on you and that is something we ensure all our staff feel, because if our young people can feel that we truly care about them, then we will be able to get the best out of them!
