Job summary

5ab Care is seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people in residential care. You will support education, daily routines, and a range of activities within a team, while contributing to care plans and risk assessments.

The role involves sleep-ins on a rota, with funded training up to Levels 3–5 and opportunities for career progression. A driving licence is essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable but not essential.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A compassionate and caring nature.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
• A driving license is essential for the role

Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: £13.50 - £13.75 per hour, £50 sleep in rate Plus Overtime (+£2 per hour)

Shift Pattern: 2 days on 4 days off plus sleep ins
