Job Title: Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home
Location: Northampton (NN5 & NN6)
Salary: £26,436.80(plus sleep-in payments of £50 per sleep and progression opportunities)
Hours: Full-time, 1 on / 2 off shift pattern

We're now recruiting Residential Support Workers for our homes in Northampton (NN5 and NN6). These homes provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments for young people with emotional and behavioural needs, many of whom have experienced early trauma, neglect, or complex family backgrounds.

About the Role:
You’ll be working directly with children aged 8–17, supporting them emotionally, practically and developmentally to help them thrive in a stable, therapeutic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Build consistent, trusting relationships with young people
Support children with daily routines, education, and personal development
Help manage behaviours in a calm, compassionate, and structured way
Record and follow care plans, risk assessments, and daily logs
Promote independence, self-esteem, and healthy coping strategies
Act as a positive role model at all times
Shift Pattern:
1 on / 2 off rota (24-hour shifts with sleep-ins)
Consistent shift pattern that promotes work/life balance and relationship building with children
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People – or currently 50% through a relevant qualification
Experience in residential childcare or similar setting (preferred)
Strong emotional resilience, commitment to safeguarding, and a trauma-informed approach
