Job summary

ROC Northwest is seeking a Residential Support Worker for Red Rock Lodge in Haigh, near Wigan. You will support young people with daily routines, school prep and activities, including night sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is required and sponsorship is not available.

Experience in children's residential care is valued, with training provided to use digital care records and ensure safe, nurturing care. DBS checks are part of the safeguarding process.

Qualifications

• Level 3/4 qualification in Children's Residential Care.

What You’ll Do

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will support young people with their daily routines; Getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities.

Ensure our children receive the highest level of support Dayshifts with sleep-ins Support senior staff with timely updates Promote individuality NOT a "one size fits all" approach Average of 8 sleep-ins per month Complete and update care plans regularly, updating with any additional requirements Be part of a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately.

Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.
