Residential Support Worker

SHAPE is an organisation that supports young women between the ages of 18 – 25-year-old who have experienced various forms of abuse, as well as supporting pregnant women and first-time mothers with babies.

Our aim, through our holistic and person-centred approach is to support our clients to achieve their potential by supporting and empowering them through education and training, mentoring, and counselling. To support pregnant women and first-time mothers with babies. Enabling them to build their self-esteem, self-confidence, to fulfil their aspirations and dreams, to function effectively in the wider community and making positive contributions in society.

We are delighted to offer a position on a fixed-term contract for the right female worker (Equality Act 2010/ Employment Act 1996. 27 of Schedule 3, Appendix 2) to join our well established support team as a dedicated worker to assist in supporting young women who through life circumstances have been marginalised and victimised, due to a breakdown in their domestic situation.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working with young women, one who is highly motivated, caring, and passionate, someone who is familiar with health and social care best practices and wants to make a difference in the life of a young person.

Essential qualification
NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in: Health & Social Care
• Mental Health First Aid
• Childcare
