Job summary

Skilled Careers represents a well-established structural engineering consultancy in Hemel Hempstead seeking a Structural Engineer with 2–5 years of UK experience. You will work on residential and mixed-use schemes, from concept through to completion, gaining exposure to clients, architects and contractors.

You will design structural solutions, prepare calculations and drawings, and progressively take on project responsibilities while developing your technical and management skills in a

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong design capability across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Good understanding of UK design standards and building regulations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Working towards Chartership or keen to begin the process.

Responsibilities

• Design structural solutions for residential and mixed-use developments.
• Produce structural calculations, reports and technical drawings.
• Assist with delivery of multiple projects from inception to completion.
• Attend client and design team meetings.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other consultants.
• Carry out site visits and inspections as required.
• Develop technical and project management skills with senior engineers.
