Job summary

Express Recruitment are thrilled to be working with a leading civil and construction engineering firm on a Residential Site Engineer role in Sawley, Nottinghamshire. You will set out on site, review drawings, and manage activities to meet programme milestones.

Travel to sites is required and a full, clean UK driving licence is essential. The package includes up to £55,000 per annum DOE, travel expenses, a company vehicle, private medical care and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Residential construction experience on-site from initiation to completion.
• Qualification in Construction Engineering or relevant subject.
• Experience using CAD software.
• Experience with surveying equipment such as GPS and Leica iCon Total Station.
• IT literate with Microsoft Office.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on setting out activities on site, establishing correct levels, alignments, and reference markers.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring clear on-site communication for layouts, quantities, and material requirements.
• Work in line with project timelines, proactively supporting site progress and helping ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Organise daily activities by liaising with subcontractors, managing materials, and aligning tasks with the overall programme.
• Keep detailed and up-to-date documentation, including inspection records, as-built information, and environmental tracking.
• Mentor Junior Site Engineers and delegate on site tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on residential construction projects, taking responsibility for projects across Nottinghamshire and wider East Midlands. Due to the role requiring travelling to sites a full, clean UK driving licence is required.

There is an excellent renumeration package on offer including a fantastic starting salary of up to c£55,000 D.O.E, travel expenses, company vehicle, private medical care and life assurance.
