Express Recruitment is recruiting for a Residential Site Engineer in Nottinghamshire. The role covers Sawley and surrounding areas with travel to multiple sites. A competitive package includes a salary up to £55,000 DOE, travel expenses, company vehicle, private medical care and life assurance.

The ideal candidate will have residential construction experience, a Construction Engineering qualification, and proficiency with CAD and surveying equipment. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience on residential construction projects from initiation to completion.
• Qualification in Construction Engineering or a relevant subject.
• Experience using CAD software.
• Experience with surveying equipment such as GPS and Leica iCon Total Station.
• IT literacy including Word and Excel.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead setting out on site, establishing correct levels, alignments, and reference markers.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring clear on-site communication for layouts, quantities, and material requirements.
• Support site progress and help ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Organise daily activities with subcontractors, manage materials, and align tasks with the programme.
• Maintain detailed documentation including inspection records and as-built information.
• Mentor Junior Site Engineers and delegate on-site tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on residential construction projects, taking responsibility for projects across Nottinghamshire and wider East Midlands. Due to the role requiring travelling to sites a full, clean UK driving licence is required.

There is an excellent renumeration package on offer including a fantastic starting salary of up to c£55,000 D.O.E, travel expenses, company vehicle, private medical care and life assurance.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working on residential construction projects from initiation to completion essential

• Keep detailed and up-to-date documentation, including inspection records, as-built information, and environmental tracking
• Mentor Junior Site Engineers and delegate on site tasks
