Job summary

Oxbridge Summer Scholars is seeking Student Supervisors for a December programme in Oxford. This full-time, residential role requires safeguarding vigilance and DBS clearance, with on‑site living in college and duties across arrival, wellbeing, meals and evening activities.

You will work closely with the Programme Manager, support student 14–19, and help ensure a safe, engaging experience with scheduled dates December 6–19, 2026, including a prep day for staff on December 5.

Qualifications

• DSL Level 1 safeguarding training is essential.
• Enhanced DBS check is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are essential.
• Experience with students aged 14–19 is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard students on-site and monitor wellbeing.
• Live in college for the programme duration and prep day.
• Dine with students and staff in college.
• Assist arrivals/departures and help students settle in.
• Report student attendance for each session.
• Support the Programme Manager with smooth delivery of activities.
• Plan, prepare and run evening activities with guidance.
• Monitor 10pm curfew and student whereabouts.
• Participate in weekend excursions planning with guidance.
• Handle illnesses, travel issues, and unexpected matters.
• Accompany students to medical centres if required.
• Report concerns to Programme Manager/Academic Director.
• Capture daily photo/video content for social media.
• Contribute to a 24-hour emergency contact rota.
