Davisons Law, based in Shireoaks, Derbyshire, is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer to join our team. You will manage your own case load across sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity with minimal supervision.

Applicants should have at least 3 years PQE in residential conveyancing, solid IT and case management skills, and a track record of driving transactions to completion; experience with freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership is desirable.

Qualifications

• 3 years PQE minimum.
• Experience managing your own caseload as a Residential Property Solicitor/Conveyancer.
• Experience with freehold, leasehold and shared ownership properties.
• Experience handling client enquiries face-to-face, remotely or by phone.
• Ability to use web-based case management systems and IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload with minimum supervision across conveyancing transactions.
• Handle sales, purchases, remortgages, deeds of variation and transfers of equity.
• Ensure transactions progress smoothly and cost-effectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agents and lenders.
• Support and develop junior fee earners and paralegals.

What you’ll do

When you join the team with Davisons Law as a Residential Property Solicitor /Conveyancer, you will manage your own case load with minimum supervision in all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions; handling sales, purchases, Deeds of Variation, remortgages, and transfers of equity, right to buy, shared ownership schemes, lease extensions ensuring transactions progress smoothly and efficiently. You will have a relevant qualification (i.e. solicitor, CILEx, CLC) or have experience of managing your own caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Have 3 years PQE as a minimum.
• Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with new and existing clients, estate agents and lenders.
• Manage own work allocation; must have proven track record as a Residential Property Solicitor /Conveyancer Fee Earner.
• Process cases on a timely and cost-effective basis.
• Strong organisational skillset, IT literate and experience of using web-based case management systems.
• Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice, generating a fee income in line with agreed targets.
• Supporting/development of assistants and paralegals.
• Work on freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership properties.
• Experience of handling client enquiries both face to face, remotely and by telephone.
