Job summary

Blake Morgan LLP in Southampton is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor/Associate with 2-3 years PQE to join our established Real Estate team. You will handle a mix of purchases and sales of freehold and leasehold property and manage exchange, completion and post-completion matters.

You will work with a large team across multiple offices, develop client relationships, and benefit from a supportive environment that promotes work–life balance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years PQE within a Residential Property team.
• Confident and personable.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong client and matter management skills.
• A track record of successful practice development.
• IT proficient.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting and amending contracts, deeds, letters and reports.
• Completing search submissions and land registry formalities, researching titles and handling subsequent queries.
• Managing exchange, completion and post-completion matters.
• Advising on financial management matters such as mortgage redemption, transfer of equity and re-mortgage processes.
• Handling residential tenancy and licence matters.
• Providing advice on residential property transactions for new developments.
• Secured lending work.

We have a new opportunity for Residential Property Solicitor / Associate at 2-3 years PQE within our established Southampton Real Estate team. The team acts for private UK buyers and sellers, as well as overseas clients and is positioned on panels of many leading mortgage lenders.

The successful applicant can expect a mix of work acting for buyers and sellers in relation to purchases and sales of freehold and leasehold property. Your responsibilities might include but not be limited to:

• Reviewing, drafting and amending contracts, deeds, letters and reports
• Completing search submissions and land registry formalities, researching titles and handling subsequent queries
• Managing exchange, completion and post-completion matters
• Advising on financial management matters such as mortgage redemption, transfer of equity and re-mortgage processes
• Handling residential tenancy and licence matters
• Providing advice on residential property transactions for new developments
• Secured lending work
