Clayton Legal is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor with 3–5 years' PQE to join a growing suburban firm. You will manage your own conveyancing caseload, handling residential sales and purchases from instruction to completion, while providing clear legal advice and maintaining client relationships.

We are working with a well-established law firm that is expanding its Residential Property team and is looking for an ambitious Residential Property Solicitor with 3 5 years' PQE to join the firm.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of residential property matters, acting for clients across a range of transactions and ensuring matters are handled efficiently and accurately from instruction through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of residential sales and purchases.
• Handling matters from initial instruction through to completion.
• Providing clear and practical legal advice to clients.
• Ensuring files are managed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Proactively progressing transactions and meeting deadlines.
• Maintaining regular communication with clients, agents and other parties.
• Managing client expectations and resolving queries effectively.
• Building strong and lasting client relationships.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the residential property department.

About You

We are looking for a 3 5 years' PQE Residential Property Solicitor who is ambitious, conscientious and highly detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in developing their career within residential conveyancing.

You will ideally have:

• 3 5 years' PQE with solid experience in residential property.
• Strong experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload.
• Good technical knowledge of residential sales and purchases.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to managing and progressing files.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
• A genuine ambition to develop professionally and build a long-term career.
• An interest in working within a suburban law firm environment rather than a central London practice.

Candidates with slightly more or less experience may also be considered where they can demonstrate the right level of technical expertise and experience.
