Charter Whyman Estate Agents in Letchworth seeks an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential properties and act as the main contact for landlords and tenants. You will manage day-to-day tenancy operations, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with housing regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential property management or lettings.
• Strong knowledge of the residential lettings process and tenancy management.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with landlords and tenants.
• Confident handling of difficult or sensitive situations, complaints and disputes.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple properties.
• Attention to detail and methodical record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and professional with integrity and reliability.
• Knowledge of property management software, CRM, spreadsheets, email and office tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential properties from tenancy start to renewal and check-out.
• Be the primary contact for landlords and tenants, handling enquiries promptly.
• Arrange inspections and prepare reports for landlords.
• Coordinate maintenance and contractors, ensuring timely updates to landlords and tenants.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and safety requirements.
• Manage renewals, rent reviews, check-ins and check-outs.
• Monitor rent payments and arrears, taking appropriate action.
• Maintain accurate tenancy and property documentation and records.
• Collaborate with lettings and sales teams to deliver a seamless service.
• Provide high-quality customer service to landlords, tenants and contractors.
• Identify and resolve issues while upholding Charter Whyman’s standards.
