Job summary

Cambian Group is recruiting a Night Support Worker to provide guidance, support and encouragement to young people in residential and education settings. You will work as part of a team to create a safe, caring environment and help residents develop physically and emotionally.

You will need a minimum of 1 year's experience, be able to work waking night shifts, attend weekends and bank holidays, and maintain accurate reports and records in line with policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people with special needs/disabilities.
• Experience and ability to work as part of a team with responsibility for encouraging and supporting staff.
• No criminal record including convictions, cautions, reprimands, bindings over or warnings related to safety and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Mentor Night Support Workers.
• Maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment, including domestic duties.
• Promote young people’s needs and meet them following policies and procedures.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Administer needs to residents and participate in medical audit.
• Help with personal hygiene and appearance, including intimate care when trained.
• Keep up to date with communication/information systems.
