Job summary

Shirley Parsons Ltd is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to support residential developments across Exeter and surrounding areas. You will provide practical health and safety support on live construction sites, ensuring compliance and championing a positive safety culture.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will conduct inspections, deliver toolbox talks, investigate incidents, and mentor site teams while driving continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections, audits and safety reviews across residential developments.
Provide competent health and safety advice to site teams and management.
Support and coach operational staff on safety best practices.
Investigate incidents and near misses and identify root causes and preventative actions.
Deliver toolbox talks and support safety training initiatives.
