Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator in Canterbury to support residential and mixed-use development projects. You will work with the Technical Director from land acquisition through planning, design, infrastructure delivery and completion.

The role focuses on due diligence, technical approvals and coordinating consultants, with a strong emphasis on delivering viable engineering solutions on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering, housebuilding or construction.
• Knowledge of residential development infrastructure and planning processes.
• Ability to coordinate consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Reading and reviewing engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and engineering due diligence for land acquisitions and identify risks and costs.
• Coordinate civil, highways, drainage, utilities and other disciplines throughout development.
• Manage external consultants and coordinate technical information, drawings and reports.
• Support planning applications and manage technical approvals and Section 38/104/278/106 processes.
• Liaise with authorities, utilities, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Provide input into development appraisals, budgets, programmes and infrastructure strategies.
• Support projects through construction with effective technical guidance.
• Offer practical, commercially viable engineering solutions to the development team.
