Job summary

Persimmon Homes in Gosforth, NE13, is recruiting a Development Planner on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover. You will join the land and planning department to shape future residential schemes and work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

The role involves carrying out planning appraisals, preparing submissions (Outline/Full/Reserved Matters) and coordinating with internal designers, external consultants and planning authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Planning with RTPI accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of planning policy and development management.
• Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Produce site assessments and detailed planning appraisals to deadlines.
• Prepare and project manage Outline/Full and Reserved Matters applications.
• Liaise with internal layout designers, external consultants and local planning authorities.
• Prepare Planning Statements and Design & Access Statements.
• Organise stakeholder/public consultations with professionalism.
• Support the Planning Manager and monitor progress of development plans.
