Job summary

DK Recruitment is recruiting an Engineer to join a well-established residential housebuilding business in Nottingham. You will support land and development teams with engineering input from feasibility through to infrastructure delivery and adoption.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, good organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities while liaising with consultants, authorities and site teams to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification or substantial practical experience in technical design for residential development.
• Understanding of regulatory and legal frameworks governing technical design and construction.
• Knowledge of highway design standards and sewer adoption requirements.
• Experience with Building Regulations and British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support land and development teams with engineering input during site feasibility assessments and viability reporting.
• Identify and appoint external consultants, agreeing fees, scopes of work and deliverables.
• Coordinate consultant activity and manage technical information to meet project milestones.
• Assess commercial implications of technical decisions across planning, design, and utility infrastructure.
• Assist with site management company procurement and ensure compliance with agreements and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure Building Regulations and warranty approvals.
