Job summary

Chattertons Solicitors & Wealth Management in Bourne seeks an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join the Residential Conveyancing Team. The role involves managing a varied caseload with direct client contact and collaboration with Partners to deliver exceptional service across the Bourne office.

The ideal candidate may be a Licenced Conveyancer, Legal Executive, Solicitor, or experienced Paralegal with Residential Property experience and solid IT skills. Hours: 9am–5.15pm.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a law firm in Residential Conveyancing.
• Understanding of Conveyancing procedures.
• High level of competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent and ongoing service to existing clients.
• Support Partners and Fee Earners in developing new business opportunities and cross-referrals.
• Produce fee income in line with targets and objectives.
• Support Fee Earners with residential conveyancing matters or manage own caseload.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and practice developments.
• Prepare and issue quotations.
• Undertake property searches and assist with enquiries.
• Draft and prepare standard contract documentation and correspondence.
• Assist with all stages of conveyancing, including exchange, completion and post-completion duties.
• Ensure files progress efficiently and are recorded on the case management system.
